Torn?

So, recently (well, in the past maybe 5ish years of my life) I've been guarded with having female friends. Justifiably so, most are catty, they talk behind your back, and 90% of the time put themselves first. Now, I'm okay having the maybe 2 or 3 girl-friends that I've had since i was 18ish, BUT it starts to suck when you have a problem, yet you need a females advice... BUT you need advice about your female friends, lol. My guy friends are useless if it doesn't involve killing zomies or... killing zombies? lol.

So yeah, that's my little blurb for the day, how do girls make friends? Srsly though? I mean, I'm nice to people, its just most of the females I meet know someone from my past, and so that person decides to "warn" them about me... when I mean, I've been a good girl for a VERY long time now. haha.

Oh well.. I'll just ask my mom for advice... I guessssss. :)

I'm 99.9% sure that my iPod is dead... no, not like... "hey, I can just keep pressing buttons and maybe it'll turn on..." kind of dead.

This is probably the saddest thing to happen to me in a VERY long time, seeing as how I'm HELLLLLA broke, so I can't buy a new one... and like... nobody in my fam is doing much better, so, I can't con one of them into it, lol.

Oh well, I'll just live in a semi-musicless world for a little while.

The Re-Birth of my iPod

There are very few things in life that I believe that I could not live with at all. A few years ago my iPod (Betty) was one of them... until the fateful day that ALL electronics face.... the death. So, me being as stubborn as I tend to be, I refused to throw it away or recycle it.... but I also REFUSED to send it in to Apple (it was over the warranty and it would have cost me more than the damn this was worth). So I pack it away, in the big ass blue Tuffware plastic bin that pretty much contained all my failed projects or bits of old fabric that I could "someday do something with", but we all know I wont, lol. WELL, while moving into my new room (mind you... this is about 4 years later) I decided to perge the old projects, let go, allow the new wonderful world of possibilities that would one day... end up in the blue box. There she was, she was beautiful and dented in the corner (a sign of true love and wear, if you ask me) and the cord was right next to her. So, not letting the dead lay, I decided to charge her up and see if just MAYBE there was one last gasp of breath in her.

... 3 hours later... (impatient, as usual)

I pressed the on button (if you could really call it that... stupid Mac products. lol)... SHE LIVES!!! It was seriously one of the happiest moments I have had in a long time. So she now lives, but keeping the name Betty just seems wrong to me (a VERY loved family pet by the same named passed not too long ago, and it just makes it kinda sad to look at her name on the top of it), so I need a new name... but all the names that I seem to like are names that I MAYBE one day might want to name my daughter. lol.

Frustration.

Apparently August is NOT my birthday month... it's "Push Nadine's Buttons Until She Ends Up On the Floor of Her Bathroom Crying About Her Contacts Month" (p.s. true story... I'll get to that in a minute). So basically... long story short... NOBODY seems to care about my birthday this year. Yeah yeah yeah, I know this isn't the worst thing to ever happen to me, BUT, its just something that I am not used to at alllllll. I guess this is step 1 in the process.

Okay, on to my story... I've been having eye problems for the past couple weeks. The last 3 pairs of contacts that I have are all ruined in some way, but I've been trying to make it work for the past month because of the cash flow thing and asking my mom was out of the question. And before you ask, yes I do have glasses, they're just kind of broken and I really cant move my head too much with them on, so its kind of inconvenient. So last night I ended up putting on all three pairs of contacts (not at the same time, mind you. lol) just to be faced with failure from all three pairs. So with everything built up from the past.... 4 months... what else am I supposed to do? I sat on the new clean floor of my bathroom and cried for about... an hourish.

This post is slightly pointless. I just need to get it out of my head. :-/

Moving.

So, as of Friday the 31st of July we are officially moved into our new home (I'll post pictures on the next blog). Lemmie tell ya, it doesn't feel like this is even my home... but I guess that'll happen after living in one place for 5ish years. I actually just think that I have a big problem with change period, mind you I LOVE small changes, but def not the big ones. I'll just have to suck it up and become a big girl about it.

We now live in the desert, lol, and when we want to go shopping or do anything we have to "go to town" as they say. Well, I guess its not that bad, seeing as how we don't live THAT far out, but I'm seriously used to living in the center of it all... now I'm just kinda left out of the loop. Oh wellllll.

Well I should be off now. Gotta finish unpacking my bathroom and photography equipment.
